| Uncle Sam wants buglers
The U.S. military is trying to recruit some buglers, a couple thousand would be nice. With only 500 buglers in all branches, the military must use a CD of taps and a boom box at grave sites. If you can play the bugle but are not inclined to enlist, Uncle Sam still wants you. The military pays $50 and up to civilian volunteers. It urges would-be volunteers to contact a military base in their area and ask for the public-information or casualty-assistance office. |
